In the Village, 38 Onondaga Street is close to everything. Walk down the street to Genesee Street and the center of the Village, plus the lake. Go around the corner and a block away are the schools. It probably doesn't seem realistic now, but you could easily walk to and from the Sherwood for a summer dinner, or get an ice cream at Doug's and relax by the lake. if you walk for exercise it's a great starting point.
